Declaration 50

John Quincy Adams was the sixth president of the United States and was president on July 4, 1826. On this very day an amazing Providence took place with the passing of his father John Adams (2nd President) and Thomas Jefferson (3rd President).

AN AMAZING PROVIDENCE TOOK PLACE

On the 50year Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1826 the last two most preeminent founding fathers passed away on the exact same day of the Jubilee of our Independence. This as a profound effect on the nation. The citizens viewed it as God’s explanation point that this American Experiment in Freedom and Liberty is under his Divine Care and Protection.

REV WILLIAM STAUGHTON – CHAPLAIN OF THE US SENATE GAVE AN ORATION AT THE US CAPITAL 12 DAYS LATER – TITLED ON THE DEATH OF JOHN ADAMS & THOMAS JEFFERSON

Twelve millions of our citizens have received, or are receiving, the intelligence that two of the greatest Statesmen, the world ever knew, died both “on the same day” and that was the day, on which the trumpet of our Jubilee was sounding.

This interesting fact will become incorporated with the history of our Union and excite the astonishment of future ages.

It would seem, by this unparalleled Providence, as if Jehovah were saying to the American, as to the Hebrew nation” “Ye shall hallow the fiftieth year.”…

“If, on the face of the earth, there exist a people Under peculiar obligations to obey the precepts of Heaven, we are that people. His goodness should lead us to repentance for our offenses, and ever influence us to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with him.
” – Dr. William Staughton
